Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Ipoh is seeking a manufacturing operator who will perform operations per documented standards and must be certified to operate the process.

The role emphasizes quality, 5S discipline, lean manufacturing and continual improvement, with responsibilities including following ESD and Cleanroom procedures, achieving daily targets, and maintaining safe, compliant work practices; basic computer skills are required for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of glue volatilization and glue mixing environment requirements.
• Familiar with coupling, welding or soldering equipment; learning may be provided by hiring manager.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.

• To perform operation / process as per document and must be certified.
• Performing daily process or operation as per document.
• To highlight any quality issues regarding the product or operation to Line Leader or Supervisor.
• To follow any other related process such as ESD and Cleanroom procedure.
• Does not perform work with substandard tools or machines.
• To achieve daily target given to them.
• Maintain 5S all the time (to perform at the end of the shift).
• Practice Lean Manufacturing. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
• Derive Continual Improvement.
• Practice Risk Base Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
• Compliance with ISO Requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes etc.

• Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc
