Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking a talented engineer to optimise system performance across fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and power management. You will set pressure and electrical budgets, work with multiple teams, and use simulations, tests and judgment to deliver robust solutions.

From early-stage development to production handoff, you will help bring innovative technologies to life. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing and power electronics teams, leading projects and ensuring

Qualifications

Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Eng (B.S./M.S.).
Experience in fluid dynamics and motor R&D or particles dynamics.
Knowledge of CFD methods and experimental measurement techniques.
Ability to lead multiple development projects with strong priority sense.
Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, CAD and LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

Identify and resolve system performance challenges at sub-assembly and part level.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve objectives.
Work with Tech Lead and engineering teams on allocated projects.
Develop system diagrams to govern pressure and power budgets.
Conduct experiments and apply analysis methods to validate solutions.
Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders regularly.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and product requirements.
Present ideas clearly in written and verbal form.
Drive data analysis and robust test methodologies.
