Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking engineers to join the Technology Development team, focused on the Product Performance group. You will quantify and optimize how well Dyson hair appliances dry and style, using modelling tools and experimental data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities include designing tests, creating predictive models, and collaborating with a project team to deliver performance aligned with product vision, while using English for clear communication across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals in engineering, measurement and statistics.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Minitab, MATLAB, Excel).
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Identify factors driving performance metrics.
• Use modelling tools to optimize/predict performance.
• Analyse data from experiments/assessments with rigor.
• Design tests and plans to identify and optimize performance.
• Write scripts/Excel/Minitab analyses for predictive models.
• Propose design mitigations to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with project team to deliver optimized hair styling and drying performance.
