Job summary

Dyson Malaysia is seeking a passionate engineer to develop product performance systems from concept to mass production. You will own the system and collaborate with internal and external partners to design, verify, validate and deliver the system on spec, time, quality and cost.

You will translate targets into system requirements and drive work packages across the product development lifecycle, using a mix of simulation, prototyping and experimentation to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Physics or related field.
• Experience in developing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems in consumer products.
• Competencies in physics, mechanical design, fluid dynamics, data analysis, machine learning, simulation.
• Proficient with CAD, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python or C/C++ for system development.
• Awareness of QA methods and reliability tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop product performance systems from concept to mass production.
• Own the system and work with partners to design, verify, validate and deliver on spec, time, cost.
• Scope, translate targets into system requirements and plan work packages.
• Design solutions to optimise product performance using simulation, prototyping and experimentation.
• Define design specifications and production control specs to meet performance targets.
• Proactively identify and manage risks during development and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop test methods and support verification, validation and manufacturing test plans.
• Manage communications with stakeholders and partners.
