Job summary

Lotte Chemical Titan in Pasir Gudang, Johor is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory technician to support polymer science and chemistry testing in a manufacturing setting.

You will follow safety rules, perform assigned lab/machine shop analyses, maintain stock of equipment and consumables, ensure housekeeping, and report abnormalities to your supervisor. You will also assist in equipment maintenance and SOP documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders in polymer science, chemistry or related science fields are acceptable.
• Experience with chemical and physical lab equipment testing is preferred.
• Able to write and communicate in English.
• Willingness to follow safety rules and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety rules and procedures in the lab and workshop.
• Carry out laboratory/machine shop analyses and tests as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain sufficient stock of equipment parts, chemicals, consumables, glassware and related items.
• Maintain good housekeeping and discipline in the lab and workshop area.
• Report any abnormality during testing or work to supervisor.
• Carry out equipment verification and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in writing and implementing operating procedures and work instructions.
• Execute assignments delegated by the supervisor competently.

To adhere and enforce safety rules and procedures

To carry out all laboratory/machine shop analysis / processes assigned by immediate supervisor as according to standard operating procedures and maintain all data generated.

Maintaining and replenishing the sufficient stock of laboratory/machine shop equipment parts, chemicals, consumable items, glassware and others.

Maintain good housekeeping and discipline in the laboratory/machine shop and its vicinity.

To perform and report any abnormality during testing/ in laboratory/machine shop to the immediate superior.

To carry out equipment verification and maintenance tasks.

To assist in writing, implementing of operating procedures and work instruction.

To execute the assignments delegated by the supervisor competently.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Polymer Science / Chemistry / Science and related field.


• Experienced in chemical and physical lab equipment testing.


• Able to write and communicate in English.
