Job summary

Inter Island Malaysia is seeking a Lab Technician for the Chemical Analysis Lab to conduct analytical tests on incoming, in-process and finished goods according to written instructions. You will prepare solutions and report results, ensuring accuracy before product disposition.

The role requires hands-on experience with titration, Gas Chromatography and High Performance Liquid Chromatography, along with chemical preparation and instrument calibration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemistry or related science field is required.
• Experience with analytical techniques and lab instrumentation preferred.
• Must be able to operate and calibrate laboratory instruments with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of incoming, in-process and finished goods per work instruction.
• Prepare chemical solutions as required.
• Inform supervisor if results are out of specification.
• Review results to ensure accuracy before final disposition.
• Troubleshoot lab instrument issues and coordinate with service providers.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work station and adhere to safety standards.
• Willing to work on shift.

• To perform analysis and report test result for in-coming, in-process and finished goods according to work instruction.
• To prepare chemical solution according to work instruction.
• To perform instrument calibration and verification in laboratory.
• To inform superior/ Shift engineer immediately if the testing result was out-of- specification.
• Review analysis results and ensure no lab error prior to final product disposition.
• Troubleshooting of lab instrument error and report to service provider if could not resolve the issue. Monitor and restore instrument performance to optimum level.
• To maintain cleanliness of work station.
• Willing to work on shift.
• Lab technician vacancy is for the Chemical Analysis Lab. Skills and experiences in titration, Gas Chromatography Analysis, High Performance Liquid Chromatography Analyss, Chemical preparation etc are advantages for us. At least a Diploma in Chemistry and above or science related course.
• Not fit for candidates who do not have resume details or a background in physical lab or microbiology lab experiences. Recruiters need to ensure information ready or screening for us, rather than us need to interview them one by one.
