Job summary

Lotte Chemical Titan Malaysia is seeking a Technician, Lab (Plastic Technical Centre, PTC) to understand and comply with ISO 9001 and SHE systems. You will adhere to safety rules, carry out lab and machine shop analyses, and maintain data records in the PTC e-Lab system.

The role requires a Diploma in a science-related field, experience with lab equipment testing, ability to perform heavy lifting, and proficient English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Applied Science / Material Science / Polymer Science / Chemistry or related field.
• Experienced in chemical and physical lab equipment testing.
• Heavy lifting and handling allowed.
• Able to write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with ISO 9001 quality system requirements.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures in the lab and shop.
• Carry out laboratory and machine shop analyses as assigned by supervisor per SOPs.
• Record processing parameters and evaluation findings in PTC e-Lab system.
• Maintain good housekeeping and discipline in the lab and shop.
• Report any abnormality during testing to supervisor.
• Carry out equipment verification and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in writing and implementing SOPs and work instructions.
• Execute assignments delegated by the supervisor competently.

To understand and comply to standard Quality System (ISO 9001), SHE System (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) requirements

To adhere and enforce safety rules and procedures

To carry out all laboratory/machine shop analysis / processes assigned by immediate supervisor as according to standard operating procedures and maintain all data generated.

Report and record all processing parameters and evaluation findings into PTC e-Lab system,

Maintain good housekeeping and discipline in the laboratory/machine shop and its vicinity.

To perform and report any abnormality during testing/ in laboratory/machine shop to the immediate superior.

To carry out equipment verification and maintenance tasks.

To assist in writing, implementing of operating procedures and work instruction.

To execute the assignments delegated by the supervisor competently.
