Job summary

Amkor Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Selangor is seeking a hands-on Equipment Operation & Maintenance professional to ensure optimal performance of semiconductor manufacturing tools. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support process monitoring in a fast-paced facility.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, document maintenance activities, and contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor processes, tools, and equipment.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing.

Job description

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and tools used in semiconductor production.

Process Monitoring & Control

• Monitor and control production processes to ensure they meet established specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of new and existing equipment.

Technical Support

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to identify and resolve technical issues that may impact product quality or yield.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, process adjustments, and equipment performance.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices within the manufacturing environment.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing downtime, and improving process efficiency.

Quality Mindset

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of the work.

Job Requirements

• Possesses at least a Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics) or similar disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Semiconductor or similar high-tech Manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and solving technical issues related to equipment and processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Telok Panglima Garang (FIZ), Selangor.
