Job summary

Delta Pride (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a maintenance technician to support daily upkeep of hostel facilities. The role involves electrical, plumbing, door hardware, and general building maintenance tasks.

You will perform inspections, install wiring, replace faulty fixtures, fix leaks, and ensure safety and proper operation of all utilities. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin is preferred; SPM or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a SPM or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin; Mandarin proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly inspections of facilities (bathrooms, toilets, lighting, public areas).
• Maintain electrical systems and appliances, ensuring good condition.
• Replace or repair non-working electrical equipment and report irreparable items.
• Carry out installation and laying of electrical wiring and fittings within the building.
• Replace and maintain lighting fixtures in hostel and public areas.
• Perform plumbing maintenance: fix leaks, replace pipes, clear drains.
• Install, repair and maintain door locks, handles, handrails and related hardware.
• Support daily maintenance, in-house wiring, building maintenance and related duties as assigned.

Job description

Assist in conducting monthly inspection of all facilities including bathrooms, toilet, lighting and public areas.

Maintaining all electrical systems and appliances can be used and in good condition.

Replace or repair any electrical equipment that is not working and report any equipment or damage that cannot be repaired.

Carry out the installation and laying of electrical wiring, fittings and related electrical works within the building.

Replace and maintain lighting fixtures in the hostel and public area.

Perform maintenance and repair works on plumbing systems, including fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and clearing clogged drains.

Install, repair and maintain door locks, handles, handrails, and related hardware.

Support and carry out all daily maintenance works, building installation of electrical fittings, in-house general wiring work, building maintenance and all other related duties as assigned.

Requirement

Candidate must possess at least a MinimumSijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of working experience in the related field.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English & Mandarin. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Willing work on Overtime, Weekend and Public Holiday for ad-hoc task.

Able to work as a team and good attitude.
