Job summary

Iroom Living Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to ensure guest units remain safe, functional and welcoming. You will perform routine servicing, basic repairs, and coordinate with external contractors as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing units for guest stays, setting up furniture and tech (Wi‑Fi, smart locks), monitoring safety checks, and contributing ideas to improve guest experience and operations.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, property management, or maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, focused on guest satisfaction.
• Basic knowledge in repairs: electrical, plumbing, appliances, and general maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and basic repairs on air-conditioning systems (split units, FCU).
• Conduct preventive maintenance for electrical, plumbing, appliances, and fittings.
• Coordinate with external contractors when required and maintain service records.
• Oversee setup of new units, including furniture testing and Wi‑Fi routers.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for parts and equipment.
• Carry out safety checks to ensure units meet hospitality and regulatory standards.
• Support emergency repairs to minimise guest disruption.
• Monitor day-to-day unit readiness and coordinate housekeeping schedules.

Requirement

• 1–3 years of experience in hospitality, hotel operations, property management, or maintenance

• Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, transporting, furniture setup)
• Own transport required and willing to travel to assigned units
• Able to work independently, responsibly, and handle multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Responsibility

• Technical & Maintenance Responsibilities
  • Perform routine servicing and troubleshooting of air-conditioning systems (split units, FCU, basic VRV exposure preferred)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance for electrical, plumbing, appliances, and fittings
  • Diagnose faults quickly and coordinate external contractors when required
  • Maintain proper records of servicing, repairs, and spare parts usage
  • Ensure maintenance tools and consumables are well stocked
  • Carry out safety checks to ensure units meet hospitality and regulatory standards
  • Support emergency repairs to minimise guest disruption
• Operations & New Unit Setup
  • Oversee day-to-day homestay unit readiness and condition
  • Coordinate housekeeping schedules and ensure rooms are guest-ready
  • Assist in setting up new units including furniture installation, appliance testing, Wi‑Fi routers, smart locks and interior staging
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors for parts, materials, and equipment
  • Conduct pre-handover inspections before listing goes live
  • Assist operations team in preparing units for marketing and photo shoots
