Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on hostel facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, and structural components
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from residents and management staff
• Conducting preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems
• Identifying and diagnosing mechanical and technical faults, and implementing appropriate repairs or escalating to specialist contractors when necessary
• Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance work completed, including parts used, time spent, and issues resolved
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and hostel operational standards
• Managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and ordering replacements as required
• Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to coordinate repairs and maintenance work
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of maintenance areas and storage facilities

About the role
Indah Mutiara Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and skilled Hostel Technician & Maintenance professional to join our team in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to maintain and enhance the physical infrastructure and facilities of our hostel operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all hostel facilities remain in optimal working condition, addressing maintenance concerns promptly, and contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Your technical expertise and proactive approach will be integral to the smooth operation of our facilities and the satisfaction of our guests.

Key responsibilities
