Job summary

Magma Hospitality Management Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a capable Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Manager in achieving departmental goals.

You will perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hotel equipment, respond to requests from departments and guest rooms, and troubleshoot faults quickly.

This role requires at least 2 years in hotel maintenance, English and Bahasa Malaysia, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in maintenance, preferably in hotel industry.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Skills include plumbing, AC servicing, electrical wiring and basic carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hotel equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions efficiently.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from departments and guest rooms.

Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations at all times.

Assist in renovation, installation, and technical projects as required.

Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair work when needed.

Support energy-saving initiatives and contribute to reducing operational costs.

Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment in good condition.

Provide technical support to hotel operations to ensure minimal disruption to guest services.

To assist ad-hoc tasks from the Maintenance Manager

Job Requirement:

At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the Maintenance Department is required, preferably in the Hotel Industry.

Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia as the role requires speaking clients of these languages.

With skills in plumbing, air-conditioner servicing and troubleshooting, wiring & electrical, basic carpentry is an advantage.

Able to carry out multitask and work independently with minimum supervision.
