Job summary

International Medical University in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a diligent Maintenance Technician to perform building services upkeep and repairs. The role involves maintaining sanitary and plumbing systems, keeping toilets in good condition, and daily checks of water supply and pumps with log entries.

You will also inspect building finishes and external areas, perform minor carpentry and masonry tasks, and assist with day-to-day maintenance and urgent repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• 2–3 years working experience in similar field, preferably in education environment.
• Good hands-on skills and ability to solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary & plumbing systems.
• Ensure toilet fittings are well kept and clean.
• Daily checks on water supply, pumps, and log books.
• Carry out maintenance of building finishes (walls, doors, flooring).
• Inspect external areas (drainage, facade, grass).
• Perform minor carpentry, masonry & plumbing repairs.
• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and replacement of fittings.
• Undertake emergency tasks and report major repairs.

The Technician is responsible to carry out building services maintenance repair works.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all sanitary & plumbing systems are properly maintained & up-keep in good working condition
• Ensure toilet fittings are well kept, good working condition and clean.
• Daily check on Grease trap, main incoming water supply and water pumps and record on log book.
• Daily check on assigned area of responsibility.
• Carry out weekly proper checking & maintenance of building finishes such as wall paintings, doors and flooring.
• Check to ensure external area of building such as drainage, driveway, building facade and grass cutting are well kept at all time.
• Carry out all aspects of minor carpentry, masonry & plumbing works inclusive make good/repairs
• Assist the technician in the day to day maintenance, repair & replacement of fused light bulb / fittings when required
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time when necessary.
• Undertake duties as assigned or Emergency tasks.
• Identify and report the need for major repairs.

Job Requirement:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• At least 2-3 years working experience in similar field preferably in education environment with good hands-on skills.
• Good working knowledge on building services system.
• Ability to solve technical problem and find repair solutions.
• Hands on skill for minor repair works.
• Proactive and ability to work with less supervision.
