Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and service electrical systems in common areas and ensure smooth operation of building facilities.

You will perform inspections, monitor water pumps, troubleshoot electrical defects, coordinate with service contractors, manage inventories, and support colleagues to maintain the premises.

Responsibilities

• Repairing and servicing the electrical aspects of common areas and ensure smooth operations of the building facilities.
• Repairs, maintenance and up-keeping of the properties of common areas.
• Repairing and servicing of the electrical aspects of common areas and ensure smooth operation of the building facilities.
• Repairs, maintenance and up-keeping of the properties of common areas.
• Perform inspections on the facilities/electrical services to ensure smooth operation at all times and in accordance to ISO procedures. Repair or change parts/components as and when necessary.
• Inspect and test the functioning of the water pump every month at the Pump House (RC Tank) and domestic tank; ensure that the water pressure is consistent; inform superior in order to carry out the repair works immediately upon detection of abnormalities.
• Troubleshoot and carry out repair and maintenance works for minor electrical defects.
• Facilitate and monitor TNB/ SYABAS personnel in reading meters, and to record all sub-meter reading for billing purposes.
• Up-keep and ensure proper maintenance of the company’s premises; constantly check on the conditions of the ceiling board, door lockset, door closer, etc.; to repair or change the parts as and when required or instructed by superior.
• Monitor and ensure that all works being carried out by the renovation contractors are in accordance to the specifications/ renovation rules and regulations.
• Coordinate and supervise the service contractors during servicing to ensure that they adhere strictly to the specifications stated in the service agreement.
• Prepare inventory listings and monitor stock flow of related materials; and issue Purchase Requisition when stock runs low.
• Assist and relieve fellow colleague(s) of his/her work tasks in the event of short-handedness. Ensure that proper briefing is given by colleague(s) on their duties and responsibilities to avoid any misunderstanding or miscommunication in the work processes and procedures, and to work as a team.
