Job summary

SV PRESTIGE SDN. BHD. is seeking an automotive technician to perform maintenance and repairs in line with skill level and training matrices. The role requires inspecting vehicles, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues, and maintaining Isuzu quality standards.

You will use SST and hand tools, assist service advisors, and participate in on-site visits and training. Malay and English language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have basic knowledge of vehicle diagnosis and maintenance.
• Preferably with experience in diesel trucks and pickups.
• Possess valid driving license GDL and be able to read and write.
• Willing to learn and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and major repair per skill level and training matrix.
• Assist Service Advisor in vehicle inspection.
• Follow Isuzu standards to reduce comebacks and ensure quality.
• Use hand tools and SST for service tasks.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Assist on-site service at customers' premises if required.
• Keep working bays clean and participate in training.

Job description

Conduct maintenance service in accordance to allocation

Conduct major maintenance or repair job in accordance to respective skill level and training matrix

Assist Service Advisor in vehicle inspection

Assist Service Manager in warranty investigations

Ensure all necessary steps such as fender cover, seat cover, etc are used before commencing any service maintenance or repair job

Ensure the job is carried out by using appropriate hand tools and special service tools (SST)

Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostic or troubleshooting

Ensure good quality job according to Isuzu standards in order to reduce/eliminate comeback jobs

Assist on-site service such as customers’ premise if necessary

Attend related training as assigned

Handle any ad-hoc tasks assigned

Ensure the working bays and surrounding areas always clean and free from clutter

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/MLVK/Diploma/ Automotive/Mechanical or equivalent
• Basic knowledge and technical skills of vehicle diagnosis & maintenance
• Preferably experience in Diesel Trucks and Pickup vehicles
• Possess valid driving license GDL
• Able to speak English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Basic reading and writing skills
• 6 working days per week; 1 day off (Sunday)
• Responsible and willing to learn
• Good attitude, punctual and hardworking
• Independent and able to work under minimum supervision
