Job summary

CS Euro Auto Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an experienced Senior Technician to perform diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards. You will guide junior technicians and ensure high repair quality while improving workshop efficiency.

The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology with 3–4 years of workshop experience, strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs according to job orders and manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic faults and carry out rectification work.
• Guide, supervise and provide technical assistance to junior technicians.
• Train and coach junior technicians on repair procedures and diagnostic techniques.
• Monitor and check repair work for quality and compliance with standards.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and testing after repairs to verify issues are resolved.
• Inform Service Advisor of additional repairs and provide accurate findings.
• Complete repair jobs within allocated time and update Service Manager on progress and completion.
• Handle customer vehicles with care and follow SOPs during servicing and repairs.
• Maintain workshop tools and diagnostic equipment in good condition.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Senior Technician to perform vehicle diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards and company procedures. The successful candidate will also guide and support junior technicians, ensure repair quality, and contribute to workshop productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Perform vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs according to job orders, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults, and carry out the necessary rectification work.

Guide, supervise, and provide technical assistance to junior technicians to ensure repair work is completed correctly and efficiently.

Train and coach junior technicians on proper repair procedures, diagnostic techniques, and the safe use of workshop tools and equipment.

Monitor and check repair work performed by junior technicians to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturer standards.

Conduct vehicle inspections and testing after repairs to verify that the identified issues have been resolved.

Inform the Service Advisor of any additional repairs required and provide accurate technical findings.

Complete repair jobs within the allocated time and update the Service Manager on work progress and completion.

Handle customer vehicles with care and follow appropriate SOPs during servicing and repairs.

Ensure workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and special tools are used correctly and maintained in good condition.

About you

Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology or a related field.

Minimum 3-4 years of relevant automotive workshop experience.

Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.

Ability to use automotive diagnostic tools, workshop equipment, and special tools safely and effectively.

Good technical communication and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and lead by example while working effectively with the workshop team.

Responsible, disciplined, and committed to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Good time management skills and the ability to complete repair jobs within the required timeframe.

Possess a valid driving licence.
