Job summary

MISUMI MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Technical Support Leader (Assistant Manager) to lead on-site technical support and engage with customers on design and application issues.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial Engineering and 3+ years in technical support or sales, with CAD/CAM proficiency and strong communication. Travel to other states within Malaysia may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with SEA HQ and Japan on technical certification.
• Set up and manage technical seminar to reach out to potential customers.
• Prepare technical presentation material for events.

Technical Support Leader (Assistant Manager)

As a company whose competence is in enabling customers to enjoy Just-In-Time components procurement, supply chain strategy is a core of our business. In order to support rapid and aggressive expansion, we are looking for talented and dynamic professionals to join us.

Factory Automation & VONA (FAV) Businesses develop and supply standard components for automated machinery used in rationalized and labour-saving production systems, including factory automation equipment. We also supply connection harnesses, cables, connectors, and terminal blocks used to connect various types of FA equipment. We also develop and supply breakers, switching power supplies, switches and other control device parts, PC bodies and peripheral components suited to FA and industrial applications.

Responsibilities:

Support and propose application design to customers on-site

Requirements

Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Precision / Industrial Engineering

At least 3+ years of technical support or technical sales experience

At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in similar B2B industry*, field application/design experience is preferred

Candidates must have Control systems Experience & Mechanical Design & Automation Experience and Knowledge.

Proficiency in CAD/CAM, Excel and Powerpoint is a must. Access skill is preferred

Self-driven, able to work independently as well as a team player

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Possess own car for local travelling

Travel to other states of Malaysia is required when necessary

Experience in manufacturing/semiconductor industry

Capable of communicating with clients

Experience working in Japanese or foreign-affiliated company
