Job summary

SFP Automation Sdn Bhd, based in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to design, prototype, and optimize automated equipment aligned with customer timelines.

You will provide 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, support manufacturing, and work with software/controls teams to raise machine performance. Malaysian candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and SolidWorks; willing to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Design concept, detail design, and prototyping of automated equipment and machines.
• Provide mechanical design support and technical specifications for new projects.
• Convert customer requirements into design specs and evaluate feasibility.
• Collaborate with software and system control teams to optimize performance.
• Support during manufacturing, assembly, testing, and customer buyoff; document BOMs.

Job description

Responsible for concept design, detail design, prototyping of automated equipment and machines to meet customers expectation and stipulated timeline.

Provides overall mechanical design technical support.

Provide technical and functional specification for new project

Convert customer requirement into design specification, evaluate design feasibility, provide technical expertise and vision evaluation report to meet customer request

Liaise with software & system control team in optimizing equipment/machine performance.

Provides support during manufacturing, assembly, testing customer buyoff e.g., to recommend the machine spare part and document in Bills of Material list. Add to propose proper jigs & fixtures to perform calibration and alignments.

Troubleshooting incidents and providing timely updates and escalation when appropriate.

To perform any other related tasks as instructed by the management from time to time.

Be a team player and assists team member to completed assigned tasks and projects.

Requirement

Candidate must possess at least a Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.

2 years and above relevant working experience.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English

Required skill(s): Proficient in 3D CAD software and SolidWorks

Candidate must be willing to travel to customer site
