Job summary

Malaysia Airports Berhad in Sepang is seeking a qualified engineer to operate the Baggage Handling System (BHS) from the Operation Monitoring Terminal (OMT) and Information Monitoring Terminal (IMT), ensuring serviceability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

You will assist in customer feedback surveys, monitor SCADA and conveyors, coordinate with technical officers, and document daily operations, maintenance tasks, and incident responses while using MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Technical Engineering.
• Functional Experience: Control Centre Room (CCR) monitoring, automated conveyor/sorting system operations, terminal maintenance support, and customer query resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily Baggage Handling System (BHS) Operation Center from the OMT and IMT.
• Assist on Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey to gather feedback on BHS services.
• Respond to ground handlers, feedback and requests promptly.
• Inform on abnormalities related to BHS operation to the duty Technical Officer.
• Ensure support service staff performance meets contract requirements.
• Assist BHS Operation Technical Officer in operation and maintenance matters.
• Inspect MUL and BR assignments based on flight schedules and arrange conveyors for PPM.
• Monitor SCADA, Airflow, and PPM activities with documentation such as Operation Daily Report and EBS movement.
• Coordinate MUL and BR assignments per flight operations schedule from FOM.
• Instruct recovery team to attend operation failures and related issues.
• Monitor and inspect BHS system, Tube constraints at counters and BR lines via CCTV.
• Standby and respond to breakdowns as required.
• Collect operation and maintenance data timely.
• Optimize use of available resources for operations and maintenance.
• Utilize IT tools such as MS Office and BBIT SCADA.

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Execute timely the operation works and ensuring the works done are accordingly to the specified operation standards, best practices and quality so as to ensure the serviceability and reliability of facilities as well as operational efficiency and cost optimization.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Perform daily Baggage Handling System (BHS) Operation Center from the Operation Monitoring Terminal (OMT) and Information Monitoring Terminal (IMT).
• Assist on Internal Customer Satisfaction Survey in order to get customer’s feedback on BHS services
• Respond on ground handlers /Feedback/Request.

• Rearrange MUL and BR assignment base on flight operation schedule from FOM
• Instruct recovery team to attend operation failure and other related issue.
• Monitoring and inspection of BHS system, Tub constraint at Check in counters and BR line via CCTV
• Standby and attend breakdown based on complaint
  
• Collate operation and maintenance data timely.
• Optimum usage of the available resources for operation and maintenance activities.
• Effectively utilize IT tools i.e. MS Office, BBIT SCADA

Qualifications:
