Job summary

Konsortium ProHAWK Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to support engineering systems and energy management within our hospital concession. You will review systems, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with laws and the Concession Agreement.

Required: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, BEM‑registered, 5+ years total experience with 2–3 years in related field; knowledge of Fire Protection, HVAC, and Chiller Plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Total work experience: minimum 5 years.
• Total relevant experience: 2-3 years in related field.
• Knowledge in Fire Protection and Alarm Systems.
• Knowledge in Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Systems.
• Knowledge in Pneumatic Tube Systems.
• Knowledge in Cold/Hot Water and Sanitary Plumbing.
• Knowledge in Chiller Plant operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience in Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and participate in engineering system and services matters.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating processes for AMS operations to ensure compliance with laws and Concession Agreement.
• Monitor energy consumption, analyse reports, and implement energy-saving projects to sustain EMGS certification.
• Support FCC/BMS operations, update SOPs, train staff, and ensure 24/7 operation and documentation.
• Lead and assist in project budgeting, tender documents, evaluation, and contract administration.

Jobs Description:

Engineering and Technical Support: Proactively assist, participate, and contribute to allowing Technical Unit in providing technical expertise and/or solution in matter related to (but not limited to) engineering system and services at HTA, laws, rules and regulations, research and root cause investigation, feasibility studies, and other related to engineering and Concession Agreement.Proactively assist, participate and contribute in developing, reviewing, updating the process and/or procedure for the company in performing AMS operation using the knowledge and technical-know-how to ensure compliances to laws, regulations and Concession Agreement.

Energy Management and Supervision: Proactively assist, participate, and contribute to allowing Energy Manager and Technical Unit to sustain and achieve Energy Management policies and strategies complying to EECA 2024, Hospital and Concession Agreement. Scope shall include (but not limited to) monitoring energy consumption at HTA including of its reports, analysis, submission, and other necessary; plan, review and implement energy saving projects; achieve and/or maintain the EMGS certification throughout the duration of Concession Agreement; governing energy management policies including reviewing, revising, improving Energy Management System (ISO 50001).

BMS/FCC Operation Monitoring and Supervision: Proactively assist, participate, and contribute in ensuring FCC room operation and performance is accordance with the developed policies (SOP) and/or requirement set forth by the company and/or Hospital; review, improve, and update SOP for FCC room operation from time to time to ensure continuous improvement on the operation of FCC room; collect, review, analyse data from BMS and detect issues, potential hazard, and initiate preventive action on the matter; Organize, conduct, and/or participate in training for team / operation team on FCC room and SOP; monitor and supervise FCC personnel 24/7; record keeping and documentation related to FCC room; coordination between FCC room operation and Hospital's Emergency Response Plan; and other necessary related to ensuring smooth and organized FCC/BMS operation.

Project and Contract Administration: Lead, assist, participate and contribute in developing projects for the company including conducting research for budgeting, need statement development; prepare tender documents, conduct tender evaluation and made necessary recommendation; plan, review, coordinate and execute the projects and oversee it to completion on time and within budget; ensuring on-time deliverables and progress reporting; verification of works; documentation for operation team and lesson learn; contract administration and ensuring contractors/vendors compliances to the contract; and other necessary.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Specialized in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic, M&E

Work Experience

Total work experience: Minimum 5 years.

Total relevant experience: 2 - 3 years in a related field is required.
