Job description

Maintenance Technician (Electrical And Instrumentation)

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with regulatory & company requirements for personal & facility safety
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, respective operating system, DCS & PLC
  • Adaptable and able to quickly learn to work independently with less supervision
  • Understand maintenance strategy on equipment servicing and repair work
  • Knowledge on the safe and correct handling of tools and equipment
  • Responsible for ensuring that all calibration procedures are performed accurately and timely
  • Perform equipment monitoring and analysis
  • Complete maintenance and repair work as per planning and scheduling
  • Ownership for equipment custodian with good knowledge and ensuring parts and tools are available
  • Provide inputs to the team on continuous improvements required to perform better job and safely
  • Support in plant initiatives and project execution
  • Willing to work shifts or any schedule to meet the operational needs
  • Ready to respond to plant emergency situations

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related fields with experience and knowledge in chemical/heavy operation and maintenance
  • Knowledgeable in field instrumentation, DCS, PLC, inverter, MSB, MCC, and motors
  • Knowledgeable in building services repair and maintenance works including minor repair work in the substation
  • Willing to work shifts
  • Able to read and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Able to read, write, and speak in Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
