Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Technical Business Analyst / Solution Analyst to translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs. You will assess requirements against existing architecture, conduct gap analyses and produce comprehensive specification documents.

You will develop operational scenarios for vendor apps and support in delivering scalable, secure, and cost-aware solutions. You will collaborate with Solution Architects, Demand Management and vendors, mapping

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 4-6 years of experience in Technical Business Analysis or solution architecture.
• Experience in banking/financial services is strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC from requirements to production.
• Hands-on experience in solution design, technical and functional specs, and requirements analysis.
• Knowledge of data mapping, APIs, Web Services, middleware, ESB and/or SOA.
• Knowledge of database design and integration technologies.
• Experience with SIT, UAT, defect management and production implementations.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Technical Business Analyst / Solution Analyst

This role involves gathering, analysing and translating business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs. You will assess solution requirements against existing architecture and enterprise architecture standards, conduct requirement gathering, gap analysis and solution assessment, and prepare Business/Functional/Technical Specification Documents. You will develop operational scenarios for vendor-developed applications, prepare configuration and parameter change documentation, and assist in developing and validating High-Level Solutions. Working with Solution Architects, Demand Management and vendors, you will define scalable and sustainable solutions, develop and standardise solution architecture patterns, and map technology products into solution architecture while considering performance, scalability, security, availability and cost. You will prepare technical interface specifications and infrastructure requirements, ensure technical solutions are successfully communicated and handed over to development and project teams, perform data mapping and data conversion design, maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), analyse and resolve defects, identify technical risks, support source-code governance and technical release processes, and participate in application design reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.

About you

• Experience in banking / financial services is strongly preferred
• Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications or business transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC, from requirements through implementation and production
• Hands-on experience in solution design, technical specifications, functional specifications and requirements analysis
• Good understanding of system integration, APIs, Web Services, middleware, ESB and/or SOA
• Knowledge of database design, application messaging and integration technologies
• Experience with SIT, UAT, defect management and production implementation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
