Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who bridges commercial clients, product management, and engineering teams. You will translate business requirements into precise technical specs, own the requirement lifecycle, and drive system design discussions to ensure delivery aligns with business goals.

Requirements include 5+ years in IT/software analysis, strong software engineering knowledge, DBs, API docs, and proficiency in Jira/Confluence. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in IT/Software.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, databases, and API documentation.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Figma; familiar with diagramming tools.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, ITIL service workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical thinking and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirement elicitation with stakeholders to define scope.
• Create FSD, SRS, user stories, and use cases with clarity.
• Develop ERD/DFD/UML diagrams to guide development.
• Collaborate with UI/UX to produce wireframes using Figma.
• Own backlog refinement in Agile/Scrum; manage Jira tasks; document in Confluence.
• Define UAT criteria and lead sessions to verify the solution meets spec.

We are looking for a sharp, tech-savvy Senior Business Analyst to act as the vital bridge between our corporate clients, product management, and our engineering teams. Unlike traditional business analysts, you will deeply understand software architecture and data models, allowing you to translate high‑level business requirements into precise, unambiguous technical specifications. You will own the requirement lifecycle, drive system design discussions, and ensure that our technical deliveries perfectly match strategic business goals.

Responsibilities

1. 1.Requirement Elicitation: Conduct deep‑dive workshops with stakeholders to extract, analyze, and synthesize business requirements into clear, actionable scopes.
2. 2.Technical Documentation: Author high‑quality Functional Specification Documents (FSD), System Requirement Specifications (SRS), User Stories, and Use Cases with exceptional clarity.
3. 3.System Modeling: Create comprehensive technical diagrams including Entity‑Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Unified Modeling Language (UML) workflows to guide the development team.
4. 4.Product Wireframing: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create low‑to‑mid fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools.
5. 5.Sprint Management: Own the product backlog refinement in an Agile/Scrum environment, prioritizing tasks via Jira and documenting technical workflows in Confluence.
6. 6.UAT & Delivery: Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) criteria, lead UAT sessions with clients, and validate that the engineered solution matches the agreed‑upon specification.

Requirements

1. 1.Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Psychology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields, with 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in the IT/Software industry.
2. 2.Technical Literacy: Strong foundational knowledge of software engineering principles, databases (SQL fundamentals), and modern web/mobile architectures. Ability to read API documentation is highly preferred.
3. 3.Tools Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Figma, and diagramming tools (Draw.io / Lucidchart).
4. 4.Frameworks: Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and ITIL service workflows.
5. 5.Soft Skills: Outstanding stakeholders management skills, sharp analytical thinking, corporate presentation capabilities, and native/fluent English proficiency.
