United Vehicles Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Gate associate to assist in supervising daily quality activities on the production line. You will monitor inspection processes, ensure compliance with work instructions, and coordinate manpower at the Quality Gate.
The role requires basic quality control knowledge, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with MS Office. You will also generate quality reports and support corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
This role involves assisting the Supervisor/Executive in managing and monitoring daily activities at the Quality Gate, overseeing inspection and quality checking processes, and ensuring product quality standards are maintained throughout production.
Key responsibilities
Assist the Supervisor/Executive in managing and monitoring daily activities at the Quality Gate
Monitor operators to ensure inspection and quality checking are carried out according to work instructions and quality standards
Coordinate daily manpower and work arrangements to ensure smooth operation at the Quality Gate
Monitor product quality and identify any defects or quality issues during production
Follow up on rejected, defective, or non-conforming products and ensure proper segregation and disposition
Ensure inspection results and quality records are properly maintained
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports and production-related reports
Monitor quality performance and highlight any issues or abnormalities to the Supervisor/Executive
Assist in investigating quality problems and implementing corrective actions
Communicate and coordinate with Production, Quality, and other related departments on quality issues
About you
Certificate/Diploma in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automotive Engineering, or related field
Preferably 1–2 years of working experience in automotive or manufacturing industry
Experience in quality inspection, production, or line supervision will be an advantage
Good knowledge of basic quality control and inspection processes
Able to use basic measuring tools and understand engineering drawings
Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Able to prepare reports, update records, and handle basic data in Excel
Good communication and coordination skills
Able to supervise and coordinate operators effectively
Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
