Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia in Putrajaya is seeking a Tax Operations Manager to ensure timely, accurate processing of tax-related deliverables for institutional clients. You will secure favourable tax relief at source, file reclaim submissions where applicable, and maintain up-to-date tax documentation with agents and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• To support client in securing favourable tax relief at source and where applicable to file tax reclaim submissions to obtain favourable tax rates incurred on transactions and payments
• To ensure review and submit relevant tax documents and forms to our agents to ensure clients' tax status are up to date and in adherence to market requirements
• To engage and support our clients on relevant queries on tax matters and engage with relevant stakeholders such as account managers, client service teams and adjacent operations teams where required in a timely manner.
• To connect with the relevant tax authorities and adhere to the relevant tax guidelines and rules thereby ensuring our clients' full compliance to the requirements at all times.
• Build a high performance team by hiring, training and developing them to deliver on overall operational goals; provide ongoing feedback and conduct formal performance reviews on a semi-annual basis; ensure Business Recovery Planning is conducted and tested on a regular basis.
• Provide strong leadership through promotion of values, communicating high quality standards and developing yourself against the leadership model. Leading by example, you are expected to meet all deliverables as requested by the senior management.
• Management of resources to ensure that all daily tasks are completed to ensure high quality of BAU deliverables are met within the deadlines.
• Leverage operational data (eg metrics, KPI, tracker logs etc) in driving business decision
• Ensure that comprehensive up-to-date operating procedures are maintained and are accessible
