Job summary

CACEIS Malaysia, located in IOI City, Putrajaya, seeks an Associate Director in Custody - Tax Operations to build and lead the Tax Services department across markets, driving the global follow-the-sun service model and high-quality client outcomes.

The role focuses on establishing tax frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing operating models while coordinating with global teams to support Europe-based clients and institutional mandates.

Responsibilities

• Review and submit relevant tax documents and forms to agents to ensure clients’ tax status is up to date and compliant with market requirements
• Connect with tax authorities and adhere to tax guidelines and rules to ensure client compliance
• Design, implement and maintain frameworks for tracking and controlling tax operations processes and identify opportunities to optimize the operating model
• Ensure delivery of services in line with business objectives and key metrics, leveraging data to drive performance
• Engage with clients on tax queries and coordinate with account managers, client service teams and other operations teams as needed
• Build a high-performing team through hiring, training and development, with regular performance reviews and robust business continuity planning
• Collaborate with peers across Global Custody to influence strategic priorities and governance and product roadmaps
• Identify, elevate and mitigate risk and ensure compliance across the tax operations space
