Job summary

Burgeon Bricks Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join its technical team in Setia Indah, Johor Bahru. As an ICT System Integrator, the company provides IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, cybersecurity, backup and related ICT solutions.

You will design, deploy and support customers' ICT environments, work with vendors and internal teams, and contribute to project implementations and site surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in system engineering, network engineering, IT infrastructure or system integration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft environments.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing, switching and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and network security solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure will be an advantage.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V or other virtualisation platforms will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of NAS/SAN, backup and disaster recovery solutions is preferred.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and IT infrastructure security.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple customer projects and technical support cases effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical matters clearly to customers.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a technical team.
• Willing to travel to customer sites when required.
• Possession of a valid driving licence is preferred.

• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs and wireless networks.
• Implement and support cybersecurity solutions including firewalls, endpoint security, access control and network security.
• Deploy and maintain virtualisation platforms, servers, storage and backup solutions.
• Support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Azure and cloud-related solutions.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for server, network, security and system issues.
• Conduct customer site surveys, technical assessments and infrastructure health checks.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, solution designs, network diagrams, project documentation and implementation plans.
• Carry out project implementation, migration, testing, commissioning and customer handover.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical support to customers when required.
• Liaise with technology vendors and principals for technical support and project implementation.
• Maintain proper technical documentation, including configurations, passwords/access records, diagrams and service reports.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats and ICT industry best practices.

About the role

Burgeon Bricks Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and motivated System Engineer to join our technical team in Setia Indah, Johor Bahru.

As an ICT System Integrator, we provide technology solutions to businesses covering IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, backup and related ICT services.

The System Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, deployment, troubleshooting and ongoing support of customers' ICT infrastructure. You will work closely with customers, vendors and our internal technical team to deliver reliable, secure and practical IT solutions.
