Job summary

PEMBINAAN YENG TONG SDN BHD is seeking a competent land surveyor to perform field surveying and setting-out for civil and marine projects in Gelang Patah, Johor. You will read drawings, establish control points, and ensure accuracy of coordinates, levels and alignments on site.

The role requires proficiency with Total Station, GPS and leveling equipment, plus the ability to work with site teams and maintain survey records. You will contribute to safe, compliant construction execution.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in settling-out and levelling.
• Knowledge of hydrographic surveying is an advantage.
• Able to operate survey instruments and read construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surveying and setting-out works for civil and marine construction projects.

Job description

Carry out surveying and setting-out works for civil and marine construction projects.

Set out structures, roads, drainage, earthworks and other construction works according to approved drawings.

Check coordinates, levels, dimensions, alignment and site measurements.

Establish, check and maintain survey control points and benchmarks.

Read and interpret construction drawings, survey plans and technical information.

Provide accurate survey information to Site Engineers and construction teams.

Carry out regular checks on levels, alignment, dimensions and positions during construction.

Prepare survey records, field notes, calculations, reports and as-built survey information.

Work closely with Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to resolve survey-related issues.

Identify and report discrepancies between actual site conditions, survey results and approved drawings.

Ensure survey equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Ensure surveying works comply with project requirements and site safety procedures.

Requirements

Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering or related field.

Relevant construction surveying experience is preferred.

Experience in setting-out and levelling.

Knowledge of hydrographic surveying is an advantage.

Able to operate Total Station, Dumpy Level, RTK & Differential GPS.

Able to read and understand construction drawings and survey plans.

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

Knowledge of Hydropro, Terramodel or similar software is an advantage.

Good understanding of coordinates, levels and site measurements.

Able to work independently and as part of a construction team.

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Willing to work at construction sites.
