Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a logistics professional to coordinate and supervise the raw material flow from planning to production, ensuring timely deliveries and optimized use of working capital.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics with at least four years in a manufacturing setting, focusing on purchasing, material planning, and warehouse operations. ISO 14001:2015 policy adherence is expected.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics with hands-on experience in a manufacturing company.
• Backing by at least 4 years coordinating raw material flow, purchasing, and warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Review raw materials requirements based on orders, history, and user requests.
• Plan purchase orders in accordance with lead times.
• Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.
• Maintain complete purchasing records and pricing in the system.
• Coordinate with user departments and suppliers on projects within purchasing scope.
• Prevent material shortages by analyzing weekly demand vs supply and implementing mitigations.
• Ensure stock accuracy with proper receiving, on-time material issuances, and stock counts.
• Manage raw material storage layout, handling, safety, and FIFO management.
• Adhere to EMS ISO14001:2015 policies and related procedures.

Coordinate and supervise the raw material flow from material requirements planning, purchasing, transit monitoring, receiving, storage and issuing to production optimizing material availability and efficient use of trade working capital.

Qualification:

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics specifically with hands-on experience in a manufacturing company (not from transport or forwarding companies), backed by at least 4 years of experience coordinating raw material flow, purchasing, and warehouse operations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review direct and indirect raw materials requirements based on orders, historical consumption and user requests and plan purchase orders in according with lead time

Liase with suppliers – Local and overseas assuring purchase order acknowledgement, on time delivery, document compliance and problem resolution.

Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works maintaining complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.

Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.

Prevent material shortages analyzing weekly demand vs supply and put in place mitigation actions to reduce any gap

Assure accuracy of raw material stock managing properly receiving, on time transactions of material issue to production and regular stock count

Manage the raw material storage area in term of lay out, proper handling, safety requirements and FIFO management
