Job summary

Ghee Hiang Manufacturing Co. Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a warehouse/logistics assistant in Penang to manage stock, prepare consignments, and coordinate deliveries with internal teams and external providers.

You will handle stock issuance, import/export documentation, and monthly stock counts, ensuring compliance with internal standards and timely deliveries to retailers and customers.

Responsibilities

• 1. Handling the zeoniq system of issuing stock to the retail outlets.
• 2. Prepare consignment notes for goods sent by courier services and ensure timely arrival.
• 3. Track pastries stock in excel and verify against store counts.
• 4. Coordinate internal drivers for deliveries and external delivery platforms.
• 5. Align delivery schedules with sales, production, and packaging teams.
• 6. Resolve delivery issues or complaints.
• 7. Liaise with transport providers for sesame oil deliveries.
• 8. Assist in export/import documentation and bookings with salesperson.
• 9. Prepare payment vouchers and manage vans/lorries for Puspakom purposes.
• 10. Monitor warehouse stock and conduct monthly counts.
• 11. Collect and verify DOs, invoices, and bills.
• 12. Maintain warehouse and assist on other tasks as directed.

Job description

This role ensures the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse while maintaining compliance with customs regulations, shipping requirements, and internal quality standards.

1. Handling of the zeoniq system of issuing stock to the retail outlets.

2. Responsible for preparing consignment note for the goods sent out by courier services, especially for online orders and ensure goods arrive on time at the destination.

3. Handling for the stock in and out of pastries to the outlets in the excel record, cross-check with the physical amount provided by the store assistant.

4. Arrange for the internal drivers for deliveries and external delivery platform.

5. Coordinate with the internal sales and production team on goods delivery schedules and product packaging.

6. Resolve the issue or complaints regarding delivery.

7. Communicate with internal department and liaise with outsourced transport and service providers on sesame oil delivery.

8. Assist in the export and import documentation, booking and follow-up with salesperson on the goods readiness before booking is made.

9. Prepare payment vouchers to the accounts department and handling of the vans and lorries for Puspakom purpose.

10. Monitor for the stock at the warehouse and monthly stock count.

11. Take in all documentation (DO, invoices, bills) to analyze and verify it.

12. Maintain the warehouse.

13. Assist on other tasks assigned by the direct superior.
