Job summary

DHL Supply Chain Malaysia is seeking an experienced logistics professional to develop and manage strategic relationships with transport vendors, drive performance, and lead contract negotiations to optimise cost and service outcomes.

Collaborating with Operations, Transport, Procurement, Finance and Customers, the role focuses on ensuring seamless service delivery, monitoring capacity, and implementing continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
• 8+ years' proven experience in transportation, logistics, vendor management, carrier management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• 5+ years experience managing external partners and service providers in Malaysia.
• 5+ years of experience in tender and bidding management in transport operations for Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with transport vendors and carriers.
• Drive vendor performance through structured governance, KPI management, and performance reviews.
• Lead contract negotiations and support sourcing activities to optimise cost and service outcomes.
• Partner closely with Operations, Transport, Procurement, Finance, and Customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor transport capacity and identify opportunities to strengthen network resilience.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
• Drive compliance with safety, legal, sustainability, and DHL operational standards.
• Analyse transport performance data and provide actionable business insights.
• Lead vendor escalation management and resolution of service issues.
• Identify innovative solutions and best practices that support our growth ambitions.
