Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services Sdn Bhd is hiring for a Senior Transport Vendor Manager in Malaysia. You will develop strategic relationships with transport vendors, drive performance via governance and KPIs, and lead negotiations to optimise costs and service outcomes.

You will collaborate with Operations, Transport, Procurement, Finance, and Customers to ensure seamless service delivery, monitor capacity, and push continuous improvements to enhance efficiency and quality across the network.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years' proven experience in transportation, logistics, vendor management, carrier management, procurement, or supply chain operations
• Minimum 5 years experience managing external partners and service providers in Malaysia
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tender and bidding management in transport operations for Malaysia

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic relationships with transport vendors and carriers
• Drive vendor performance through structured governance, KPI management, and performance reviews
• Lead contract negotiations and support sourcing activities to optimise cost and service outcomes
• Partner closely with Operations, Transport, Procurement, Finance, and Customers to ensure seamless service delivery
• Monitor transport capacity and identify opportunities to strengthen network resilience
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
• Drive compliance with safety, legal, sustainability, and DHL operational standards
• Analyse transport performance data and provide actionable business insights
• Lead vendor escalation management and resolution of service issues
• Identify innovative solutions and best practices that support our growth ambitions
