Job summary

Advanced Energy in Malaysia is seeking an experienced procurement professional to ensure on-time delivery and inventory control while driving supplier performance improvements. The role requires negotiating contracts, educating suppliers on performance metrics, and collaborating with planning teams to meet demand fluctuations.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in manufacturing or purchasing/planning, familiarity with SAP, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review BRP reports and analyse suggested orders.
• Source and negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Educate suppliers on performance measurements and continuous improvements.
• Evaluate supplier quality and delivery performance against targets.
• Develop knowledge of materials and supply sources to meet quality and cost requirements.
• Expedite and negotiate RFQ/RFI, contracts, cost analysis.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers; coordinate with planning and demand teams.
• Maintain timely communication with suppliers regarding delivery issues, quality issues, or payments.
• Keep systems updated and complete purchasing tasks on time.
• Control inventory levels through supplier negotiations and order rescheduling.
• Adhere to quality, health and safety, and legal requirements.
