Advanced Energy in Penang seeks a Senior Buyer to ensure on-time delivery while controlling inventory at reasonable levels. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with planning teams to meet demand and cost targets.

Responsibilities include BRP analysis, RFQ/RFI activities, and maintaining accurate systems. Strong communication and 6–8 years of purchasing experience are expected in a manufacturing context.

Formación

• 6–8 years in manufacturing purchasing/planning.
• Familiar with SAP operations and team collaboration.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Review BRP reports and analyze suggested orders or changes.
• Source and negotiate contracts with vendors.
• Educate suppliers on performance measurements and improvements.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery against targets with logistics coordination.
• Develop knowledge of materials and supply sources to meet cost/quality targets.
• Expedite using RFQ/RFI, contracts, cost analyses, and internal/external expertise.
• Maintain strong supplier/internal relationships; align with planning and demand teams.
• Maintain timely and accurate purchasing records and resolve delivery/quality issues.
• Keep inventory at reasonable levels by negotiating, rescheduling, or canceling open orders.
• Follow quality, safety, environmental, and confidentiality requirements.
