Job summary

Advanced Energy in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement specialist to oversee on-time delivery, supplier performance, and inventory control while maintaining cost effectiveness.

You will liaise with planning and demand teams, negotiate RFQ/RFI, and drive improvements with suppliers, ensuring quality, timely orders, and compliance with company policies; experience with SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Purchasing/Logistics/Material Management or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational and negotiation skills.
• Flexibility to handle changing conditions.
• Strong analytical abilities and written/verbal communication.
• Experience with procurement processes and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Reviews BRP reports and analyzes suggested orders.
• Educates suppliers on performance metrics and continuous improvements.
• Monitors supplier quality and on-time delivery against goals and coordinates with teams to improve.
• Negotiates purchases using RFQ/RFI, cost analyses, and contracts.
• Builds strong supplier relationships and communicates with planning and demand teams.
• Maintains timely procurement in the ERP system.
