Job summary

Advanced Energy in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate the complete production cycle, master scheduling, and material requirements. You will interact with multiple departments to maintain supply continuity while implementing ECOs and optimizing shop floor processes.

The role requires SAP/MRP experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a background in operations management with relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of SAP or MRP, planning functions and shop floor processes.
• Ability to interpret and summarize statistical reports.
• Excellent judgment and initiative with multiple priorities.
• Understanding of material lead times for critical assemblies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in PC applications including Word, Excel, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, coordinates final approval of products through production cycle.
• Coordinates master scheduling and material requirement forecasts; involved in capacity planning.
• Ensures materials align with schedules and production plans.
• Collaborates with management across marketing, sales, production and engineering.
• Resolves labor/material shortages and schedule interruptions.
• Implements production control functions: scheduling, shop routing, MRP and WIP tracking.
• Manages ECOs in production and liaises with purchasing for supply solutions.
• Verifies system variables and priority sequences with AE manufacturing plan.
• Maintains confidentiality of production/process information and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
