Job summary

MAP Active Malaysia is seeking a Business Data Analyst to transform raw business, sales, and operations data into clear, actionable insights. This role supports the Country Manager, Ops Head, and Merchandising Head with data crunching, reporting, and performance tracking.

You will design standardized reporting templates, work with HODs on the business plan, and streamline reporting processes across finance, merchandising, operations, and HR to ensure consistent data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 2-4 years in a data analyst, business analyst, or project coordination role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel; SQL/Power BI/Tableau familiarity is a plus.
• Experience building report templates and streamlining reporting processes.
• Good verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Support senior leaders with data crunching, analysis, and reporting.
• Design and maintain standardized Business Review templates for leadership reviews.
• Collaborate with HODs to develop and track the business plan.
• Manage projects and priorities end-to-end with timely delivery.
• Build and streamline Retail & Merchandising reports to reduce manual work.
• Track KPIs such as sales, sell-through, and other market metrics.
• Collect, clean, and consolidate data from multiple sources.
• Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to reporting processes.
• Support ad hoc analyses with quick turnaround.
