Job summary

MR D.I.Y Trading Sdn Bhd is expanding its regional operations and seeks a Workforce Planning & Analytics Analyst to join our retail team in Malaysia. The role focuses on headcount optimization, store staffing and performance analytics across multiple stores.

You will collaborate with Operations, HR and Finance to deliver insights that drive staffing efficiency and sales performance, while maintaining high standards of data accuracy and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, retail management, statistics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in retail operations, workforce planning or sales performance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Good understanding of retail store operations and manpower planning principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation and coordination skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with Operations, HR and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Store PIC updates and maintain accurate reporting structures.
• Monitor over-hiring and coordinate with HR and Area Managers for corrective actions.
• Review headcount allocations store-by-store to align with business needs.
• Analyze store sales performance, salary ratios and staff turnover trends.
• Investigate significant sales declines and identify underlying issues.
• Develop and refine store targets, optimize staff schedules and adjust hours.
• Enhance hiring and customer service SOPs for efficiency and consistency.
