Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor for an office-based role to manage cost-related functions across projects, from tendering to final accounts. You will oversee tender documents, BOQ, and cost estimates using Glodon, QSPlus and Excel, with strong communication and analytical skills.

You will also handle progress claims, cost control, reporting, and coordination with sub-contractors and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficient in take-offs, cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
• Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Tendering & procurement: prepare competitive tender documents, evaluate bids, assist in procurement and negotiations.
• Estimation & take-offs: perform detailed quantity take-offs, prepare BOQ, establish cost estimates using industry software.
• Valuation & progress claims: review, measure and value construction work for interim payments, sub-contractor claims, and final accounts.
• Cost control & reporting: monitor project budgets, track cost variations, and compile financial reports for management.
• Sub-contractor & supplier administration: coordinate valuations, interim certificates, and payments.
• Claims & contract support: assist in contract administration, dispute resolution and claims management.
• Documentation & auditing: maintain organized financial records and audit trails for submissions.
