Job summary

TTY ID & Construction Sdn Bhd, Penang, seeks a proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs from tender to completion, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining quality and contractual compliance.

You will prepare cost estimates, BQ, budgets, progress claims, and payment certificates; source quotations; evaluate and negotiate quotations; liaise with clients and suppliers; and maintain full cost records on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or professional degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin for client communication.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for drawing review and take-offs.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities, and tender documents.
• Source quotations and perform cost comparisons.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare project budgets, cost plans, and monitor costs.
• Prepare progress claims, variations, final accounts, and payment certificates.
• Verify subcontractor claims and prepare payment recommendations.
• Monitor cost performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and project teams on commercial matters.
• Attend site meetings and conduct site measurements as required.
• Maintain proper project documentation and cost records.
