Job summary

Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control across project lifecycles.

You will prepare take-offs, cost estimates, and tender documents, evaluate bids, and support contractual negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors.

With 2–5 years of relevant experience, you will work on high-rise, commercial, industrial or infrastructure projects, ensuring budgets are met.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in pre-tender and post-tender activities preferred.
• Experience in high-rise, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects advantageous.
• Good knowledge of contracts, tendering procedures, cost estimation and cost control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-tender and post-tender quantity surveying across project lifecycle.
• Prepare take-offs, cost estimates, BOQ, and tender documents.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for construction projects.
• Evaluate tender submissions and prepare tender comparison reports.
• Assist in tender submissions, budgeting, and contract negotiations.
• Prepare and administer subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Verify and process contractors' and subcontractors' progress claims.
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, final accounts, and project cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure stays within the approved budget.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams on commercial matters.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, company policies, and project requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
