Job summary

GENIUS COOLING TOWERS GLOBAL SDN BHD in Nilai is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to manage purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers and planning, and ensure on-time delivery of materials for cooling tower manufacturing.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma with at least 2 years in purchasing/inventory, is fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and can negotiate prices, handle data entry, and maintain accurate master data and stock records.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in purchasing, inventory, material & warehouse management or equivalent.
• Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, team work & aggressive.
• Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL accounting software and other related software is an advantage.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Willing to work overtime as and when required.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Nilai 3.

Responsibilities

• Generate purchase order and record updating.
• Ensure materials orders are shipped and delivered on required date.
• Review daily, weekly and monthly direct material requirements.
• Sourcing material with relevant suppliers, negotiating prices and continually improving price status.
• Co-ordinating/liaising with planning on delivery schedule.
• Ensure stock record updated with the MOQ stock level.
• Support part creation to ensure that master data in the system is correct and being applied to all the relevant documents correctly.
• Perform data entry and document filling.
• Other tasks as assigned by the management when necessary from time to time
