Job summary

SUN POWER INDUSTRIES in Malaysia is seeking a procurement professional to source, evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery performance and business needs.

You will obtain quotations, negotiate prices and payment terms, review requisitions, prepare purchase orders and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery. Work closely with Warehouse and Accounts to coordinate purchasing requirements and maintain ISO-compliant records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field.
• Good negotiation, communication and follow-up skills.
• 2–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Able to work with numbers, compare supplier quotations and monitor purchasing costs.
• Responsible, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery performance and business requirements.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate prices and payment terms, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing process: review requisitions, prepare Purchase Orders (PO) and ensure approvals.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Accounts to resolve procurement-related issues and ensure alignment with operations.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate replenishment to support daily operations.
• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain supplier relationships to ensure quality, pricing and delivery.
• Resolve procurement issues including delays, quality discrepancies and incorrect items.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with budgets, procedures and ISO requirements.
