Job summary

Sime Darby Industrial Division is seeking a Marketing Executive to plan, coordinate and execute marketing events across exhibitions, roadshows, and corporate functions. You will support multiple business units, source vendors, manage budgets, and collaborate with sales teams for lead generation.

The role requires strong project management, excellent communication, and willingness to travel across locations, with experience in industrial or B2B environments considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Event Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in marketing, events, or brand activation.
• Proven experience organizing exhibitions, trade shows, roadshows, and corporate events.
• Strong vendor sourcing, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel for events and support activities across different locations.
• Experience in the industrial, heavy equipment, engineering, or B2B industry is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including trade shows, exhibitions, roadshows, customer days, machine handover ceremonies, quarry days, and other promotional activities.
• Support multiple business units in planning and delivering marketing events and campaigns.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events from planning through post-event evaluation.
• Source, evaluate, and manage vendors, suppliers, and event agencies to ensure quality delivery within budget.
• Prepare event concepts, booth proposals, floor plans, and branding requirements.
• Manage event logistics, including venue setup, event materials, promotional merchandise, and on-site coordination.
• Develop event budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective execution.
• Work closely with sales teams to support customer engagement activities and lead generation opportunities during events.
• Evaluate event performance and prepare post-event reports with recommendations for future improvements.
