Job summary

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd seeks a proactive Purchasing Executive to source and manage suppliers for engineering items, projects and miscellaneous needs. You will negotiate terms, develop alternate suppliers, and monitor costs to maintain quality while supporting production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include managing POs in M3, coordinating with suppliers on delivery issues, and maintaining procurement data.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be dynamic, independent and self-motivated.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in purchasing for engineering items is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Source and manage suppliers for Engineering Items, Projects & miscellaneous items.
• Negotiate orders and quotations and take responsibility for actions.
• Develop new suppliers as alternate sources.
• Manage costs to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
• Maintain supplier and purchasing data.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders in M3; upload to Ecology system.
