Job summary

Mattel Asia Pacific is seeking a Supply Chain Demand Planning professional in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead the local S&OP process, align Sales, Marketing, and Finance on forecasting and product availability, and manage inventory optimization to mitigate supply chain challenges.

The role requires at least 3 years in demand planning or forecasting, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with tools like AS400, Tableau, Cognos, JDA/Blue Yonder, and SAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a supply chain demand planning or forecasting role.
• Bachelor-level degree in business/operations/logistics or related field.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of AS400, Tableau, Cognos.
• Experience with demand planning tools such as JDA/Blue Yonder; SAP a plus.
• APICS certification or equivalent a plus.
• Open to travel and cross-regional collaboration.
• Highly organized and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem solving and analytical abilities; effective cross-cultural communicator.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local S&OP process and conduct Consensus meetings with Commercial/Marketing/Finance.
• Serve as primary contact between Sales, Marketing, and Finance for forecasting and product availability; review Demands, Supply Match, and Inventory health vs Financial KPIs.
• Synchronize commercial plans with monthly demand/supply forecasting cycles.
• Monitor and adjust product forecasts across channels using POS, shipping trends, and customer insights.
• Provide monthly metrics and recommendations on forecast changes, bias, and item productivity.
• Coordinate with Supply and Inventory teams to project Gross inventory/DOS and improve overall inventory health.
