Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Demand Planning Manager to lead forecasting and inventory optimization for a major FMCG client in Kuala Lumpur. You will bridge sales, marketing, and supply chain, driving forecast accuracy and promotional integration.

You will lead a team of planners, utilize ERP tools, and apply statistical models to mitigate volatility while aligning with financial goals and supply constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, statistics, business, or related field.
• 8+ years in demand planning or supply chain in FMCG.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP/Demand Planning software experience (SAP/Oracle/APO).
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional influence.
• Ability to work under pressure in high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
• Lead the monthly S&OP process to align market intelligence with financial goals and supply capabilities.
• Utilize historical data and statistical modeling to provide strategic solutions for demand volatility.
• Manage inventory health by identifying risks of obsolescence and recommending proactive clearance or promotion strategies.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to incorporate promotional plans and new product introductions into the forecast.
• Monitor and report on Forecast Accuracy and Bias, performing root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
