Job summary

Mattel is seeking a skilled supply chain professional in Kuala Lumpur to lead the local S&OP process, aligning Sales, Marketing and Finance on forecasting and product availability. You will drive demand/supply synchronization and report key metrics while optimizing inventory health across channels.

The role requires 3+ years in demand planning, strong analytics, and proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint; knowledge of AS400, Tableau, Cognos, and SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/operations or supply chain.
• Fluent English (written and verbal), additional language skills an asset.
• At least 3 years experience in a supply chain demand planning or forecasting role.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint with knowledge of AS400, Tableau, Cognos.
• Working knowledge of demand planning tools such as JDA/Blue Yonder, SAP a plus.
• APICS certification or equivalent a plus.
• Open to travel and collaborate with cross-regional teams.
• Highly organized and able to perform in a dynamic organization.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the local S&OP process and consensus meetings with Commercial/Marketing/Finance.
• Be the primary contact for forecasting and product availability; review Demands, Supply Match, Sales Forecast, and Inventory health.
• Synchronize commercial plans with monthly demand/supply forecasting cycle.
• Monitor and adjust product forecasts based on POS/shipping trends, DFC, and insights.
• Provide monthly metrics reporting and recommendations on forecast changes and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Supply and Inventory Management to project gross inventory and DOS; improve inventory health.
• Identify constraints and develop solutions while keeping internal customers informed.
