Job summary

StarHub is seeking a Principal CRM Engineer to define and evolve the architecture of its CRM and Order Management platforms, enabling scalable, reliable customer journeys. You will guide modernization efforts, establish standards, and mentor teams to deliver end-to-end solutions across CRM, provisioning, and billing domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with emphasis on system architecture and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience designing, evolving, and operating enterprise-grade platforms, especially CRM/OM or related domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end architecture of CRM/OM platforms across Customer Management, Catalog, Campaigns, Order Management, and Billing integrations.
• Establish architectural principles and standards for microservices, API design, workflow orchestration, and data management.
• Design and optimize workflow orchestration strategies for order lifecycles, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
• Drive platform scalability and performance by identifying bottlenecks across APIs, databases, and workflows.
• Define and govern data architecture for consistent data flow across CRM, provisioning, and billing systems.
• Establish API and integration standards including versioning, idempotency, and reliability patterns.
• Lead modernization initiatives including migration from legacy CRM systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Reduce technical debt by modularization, decoupling, and standardization across services.
• Define observability and reliability strategies with proactive monitoring and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams to design scalable cloud-native solutions using Kubernetes, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Serve as technical authority for design decisions and architecture reviews.
• Mentor CRM Engineers on system design and debugging techniques.
• Influence cross-functional teams to adopt consistent engineering standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and vendors to ensure end-to-end customer journeys.
