Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd in Penang is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to manage corporate accounts, monitor credit facilities, and drive profitability with high-quality banking solutions.

The role requires strong communication, deep knowledge of financial markets, and the ability to build long-term relationships with senior executives. You will report on performance, ensure compliance, and collaborate across product teams.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance / Business Administration / Economics / Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in banking, preferably corporate or commercial banking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long term relationships.
• Confident and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing assigned accounts/relationships, ensuring all credit facilities are fully utilized.
• Monitoring the performance of each account, identifying areas for improvements and implementing measures to enhance profitability.
• Cross selling other bank's products such as investment banking, treasury and insurance.
• Growing existing customers' relationship by providing them with quality banking services and attending to their needs promptly.
• Responding quickly to customer queries and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
• Building strong relationships with key decision makers within each account to understand their needs and preferences.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies when managing accounts.
• Preparing regular reports to track progress and identify potential risks or opportunities.
• Keeping abreast of market developments and trends to better serve customers.
